FAQ

What is the difference between The SPEAK OUT!® Therapy Program and LSVT LOUD® ?

The SPEAK OUT!® Therapy Program, developed by the nonprofit organization, PARKINSON VOICE PROJECT®:

The SPEAK OUT!® Therapy Program, developed by the nonprofit organization, PARKINSON VOICE PROJECT®, helps people with Parkinson’s and related disorders REGAIN and RETAIN their speech and swallowing. The program, if followed properly according to the exercises set out in the SPEAK OUT!® Therapy Program, can improve volume, articulation, breath support for speech, vocal quality, intonation, and facial expression. Patients and families also report reduced drooling and improved swallowing. This highly effective, research-based treatment combines education, individual SPEAK OUT!® Therapy, SPEAK OUT!® Classes, daily home practice, and continuous follow-ups. Once patients enter the program, they remain in it for life.

The program includes 8 individual sessions (30–40 minutes each), scheduled 2 times per week for approximately 4 weeks, followed by a 9th follow-up session 2–3 weeks later.

Emphasis on “Speak with INTENT” (Extrapyramidal vs. Pyramidal system).

Emphasis on LOUD!

Why I Choose a Cash-Pay Model

By stepping away from the red tape and complexity of traditional reimbursement systems, I am able to focus fully on you—your goals, your progress, and your voice. This cash-pay model allows for flexible, personalized treatment plans, transparent pricing, and therapy that is guided by clinical need rather than coverage limitations. As I begin this new chapter, my priority is simple: delivering meaningful, patient-centered care with the time, attention, and freedom you deserve.
